Database Support
Supports widely used
industry standard Microsoft Access databases and SQL Server
using ODBC. Keyword or descriptive information can easily be
exported from Access Databases created with SmartFile into
spreadsheets or other kinds of reports, or can be exported to
create new databases. Images and keywords are stored in
separate databases.
Indexing
Create unlimited number of
index fields. Use Hot Keys for fast indexing and image viewing
and manipulation while indexing. Easily add or delete fields,
even after adding images to the
database.

Fast keyword search.
Search criteria includes equals, less/greater than, equals or
is less/greater than, like, suffix wildcard (Bow* would return
images with the value Bowman, Bower, etc.). Find images with
alphabetic or numeric values that are equal or not equal to
the value in "Criteria." Easy to use, customizable FlexFolders
let you group and regroup your image folders on the fly. For
example, POs can be arranged by PO number or quickly
rearranged to display alphabetically by vendor name. Flexible!
Viewing Tools
Display black and
white or color images in most major formats, including, TIFF,
JPEG, BMP and GIF. Fast Multi-page viewing includes fast "go
to" page and next, previous, first, last. Special magnifiers
let you zoom in on specific parts of an image - great for hard
to read scans or large format images. Includes award winning,
patented ScanFix to clean up images for better readability and
smaller file sizes. This is a result of removing specks,
spots, shaded areas, lines, etc., plus allows straightening of
crooked images. Special character edge smoothing
(anti-aliasing) offers superior readability of scanned
images.
